Who we are: The Massachusetts Forest and Park Friends Network is a grassroots organization of volunteers networking for greater advocacy, better protection and enhancement of Massachusetts’ forests, parks, beaches and trails.
What we do: The Friends Network facilitates communication between Friends groups, all volunteers to state parklands and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Parklands thrive under the special care that Friends groups provide.
Join or start a friends group. Help Massachusetts achieve a Friends group for every state forest and park. If we can help, let us know.

Join your Friends at the 12th Annual Friends Network Gathering where the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR ) Stewardship Council will hold their monthly meeting and Friends groups and volunteers across the Commonwealth will spend the day sharing their successes and concerns as stewards of our beaches, forests, parks and trails.
This is your opportunity to present the great work you do and ask the questions you’ve been wanting to ask DCR officials. Let us know if you’d like to be considered for a 15-minute presentation (no topic is off the table) or if you’d like to present a brief (3-minute) PowerPoint introduction of your group to the Stewardship Council members. We will do our best to make sure everyone has a chance to speak. Contact Sharl Heller at email@example.com to reserve a time slot.
Do you know of a volunteer or a DCR staff person who deserves special recognition?
Contact Sharl Heller at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to submit nominations.
